Introduction to Fashion Illustration

In this course, you will discover the essence of fashion illustration and its role in the fashion industry. The Basics of Drawing

The course focuses on mastering the fundamentals of drawing the human body, understanding proportions, and capturing movement. You will learn essential principles of composition, the golden ratio, and how to achieve balance in your illustrations. Special attention is given to drawing hands and feet, often the most challenging parts of the body. Through quick sketch exercises, you will improve your speed and spontaneity, and by drawing from nature, you'll enhance your observational skills and ability to draw inspiration from the world around you​

Capturing Energy

In this course, you'll learn how to bring your illustrations to life by capturing dynamic movement, poses, and gestures. Tools

In our Fashion Illustration Course, you will be introduced to a variety of tools that are essential for creating exquisite fashion illustrations. Each tool offers unique qualities that can enhance your artwork, allowing you to explore different styles and techniques.

Black Ink

Black ink is a versatile medium known for its bold, crisp lines and deep, rich tones. It is perfect for creating dramatic contrasts and defining intricate details in your illustrations. You will learn various techniques for using black ink to add depth and emphasis to your drawings.

Pencils

Pencils are fundamental tools for any illustrator. They offer precision and control, making them ideal for sketching and outlining. Throughout the course, you will explore different grades of pencils, from soft to hard, to achieve a range of textures and shading effects.

Fine Liners

Fine liners are indispensable for adding fine details and clean, precise lines to your illustrations. These pens come in various tip sizes, allowing you to create both delicate and bold lines. You will practice using fine liners to enhance the clarity and definition of your fashion sketches.

Watercolours

Watercolours bring a vibrant, fluid quality to your illustrations. This medium is perfect for adding color and dimension to your drawings, allowing for soft blends and expressive washes.

Charcoal

Charcoal is known for its rich, deep blacks and its ability to create both delicate and bold strokes. It is excellent for adding dramatic shading and texture to your illustrations.

​About the teacher

​Martyna Brechelke born in 1995, is an Illustrator and Event Artist. She graduated in 2018 from Gdansk University of Technology as an Architect and in 2021 from VIA University College as a Fashion Designer.

Martyna specializes in fashion, lifestyle, and beauty illustration. With over 10 years of experience in the field of drawing, she is known for her vibrant, bold, and playful style.

Martyna has collaborated with brands such as Tiffany & Co., Oribe, and various companies during fashion weeks across Europe.

In addition to her illustration work, Martyna is dedicated to teaching. She aims to guide students through various techniques and encourages them to experiment in order to find their own unique voice and style.​
